For Tate Liverpool's closing weekend I was asked to produce a mural as a goodbye for the next 2 years whilst they renovate and modernise the gallery. During the weekend the mural became an interactive typography workshop. The idea for the workshop was that people could choose a typeface from a selection of worksheets for inspiration to write their name directly on to the mural.
The typefaces chosen were ones which inspire me which would mean the public are using a similar process to me when designing letters. As the weekend progressed the mixture of names and languages on the walls highlighted how diverse Liverpools community is as well as the diversity of tourists who come to The Tate.
